Our December Blīcher Creature is the fabulous Claudette Wilkins.
Claudette is the Founder and Head Chef of Cavegirl Confections a wonderful health and fitness conscious company that specializes in paleo snacks.
We are going to let Claudette share one of her favorite recipes with you but before we do that an introduction is in order:
"My earliest memory of being interested in cooking was watching my grandma cook, which also resulted in my first broken arm at age 3. I come from a family of food lovers, my family owned a restaurant in Guadalajara, MX which I spent most of my summers helping out at as a kid. Once my son James was born I decided to follow my culinary aspirations and I haven’t looked back since.
Cooking is immensely gratifying to me and I am constantly looking to develop my skills and grow as a chef. I love feeding and seeing peoples their reactions to the food as well as being a mentor to green cooks. After attending culinary school in San Diego I was fortunate to work for some amazing chefs. I learned so much while working in the industry. Being around such high quality and expectations helped inspire me even more about what I do and to always strive to be a better cook."
