Jason Richardson is a Grand Rapids chef who puts a fresh spin on classic dishes, constructing memorable fusion creations.
Jason likens his passion for fusion cuisine to his love of spinning records. On his turntables, he composes harmonious mixes by laying down tracks of different genres in an intuitive way. For him, the kitchen is no different. He takes a variety of cooking traditions and blends them in new and intriguing ways to produce some of the tastiest and most eclectic dishes.

earning in the confines of traditional academia was never Jason’s cup of tea. Instead, he has always preferred learning through hands-on experience. Years ago, Jason moved to Montana where he helped a friend open a restaurant inspired by Asian cuisine. He cites this as a transformative experience where he began not to just make food, but to create dishes.
The following dish is one example of his Asian inspired cuisine, and it incorporates BLiS’ incredible product. Replacing components normally made on a large scale with thoughtful, handcrafted ingredients from BLiS take his creations to the next level.
