Do you use an authentic bourbon barrel aging method?
Yes, we are committed to producing high-quality products that are aged in only the best bourbon barrels. We were actually the first business to experiment with and master the bourbon barrel aging process for kitchen ingredients. We’ve been perfecting this process since before it became a popular trend, and it shows. Our barrel aging processes are focused on developing the best flavor above all else.
We’re confident you’ll be able to taste the difference between our authentically aged products and others using subpar bourbon barrels and aging methods.
Do your products contain nuts?
No, our products are made in a nut-free establishment.
Do your products contain MSG or preservatives?
No. Our products are made with only natural ingredients. No artificial flavors or preservatives. They taste better that way!
Should I refrigerate BLiS products after opening?
All BLiS products should be refrigerated after opening, with the exception of BLiS Blast Hot Pepper Sauce, vinegars, salts, and rubs.
Are any of your products Paleo friendly?
BLiS Barrel-Aged Fish Sauce, Pure Maple Syrups, Spice Rubs and Salts are all Paleo-friendly.
Which BLiS products are gluten-free?
Most sauces, roe and tuna products are gluten-free. Although the spice rubs are not made with flour, they are packaged in an establishment that uses flour so they cannot be classified as gluten-free. Our Bourbon Barrel Aged Soy and Hardwood Smoked Barrel Aged Soy are not gluten-free.
Are the spice rubs made with sugar?
Our spice rubs do not contain sugar.
How much salt is used in the rubs?
Our spice rubs are made with a minimal amount of salt; allowing you to salt to preference or dietary restriction.

What can you tell me about BLiS Gourmet?
Chef Steve Stallard started experimenting with making his own unique ingredients when he couldn’t find the right thing to finish his dishes. After creating flavored domestic roe, he started crafting bourbon barrel maple syrup and soon the ingredients were being used beyond his own kitchen.
BLiS Gourmet was born from that moment, and we continue to develop new unique handcrafted ingredients that inspire both chefs and home cooks to elevate their dishes.
