Description

To create our Bourbon Barrel Maple Syrup, we start with 100% pure maple syrup harvested from old-growth Michigan maple orchards. This incredibly robust, small-batch maple syrup is kettle-cooked before being aged in hand-selected, 18-year-old Kentucky Bourbon barrels. After months of gentle maturation, the result is an elegant and complex maple syrup unlike any other.

On the palate, you’ll find deep notes of charred oak, Kentucky bourbon, and baking spice, which are balanced perfectly by sweetly delicate aromas of honey and vanilla.

Amazing stuff

I've now been using BLiS Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup for well over a decade. Lovely notes of vanilla and caramel and slight spice. I'm so spoiled that I really can't use regular maple syrup any more - this is so much more complex and delicious. I mix it in a variety of different sauces. It shines in an ancho chili based sauce we use on fried pork cutlets, but has a wide variety of uses for us. Thank you for inventing this!

Perfectly balanced flavor

The bourbon barrels give vanilla and caramel notes. Lots of potential application. I tried it side by side with a basic real maple syrup and it is noticeably sweeter, so a little goes a long way.

AMAZING!

A few years back siting, in a sushi place talking with my boyfriend about the bourbon maple cranberry smoked ham and cioppino I was making over the weekend…a gentleman next to us joined our conversation. We learned he was a 4 star chef and his favorite bourbon barrel aged maple syrup was Blis. At the time, I was purchasing from Three Rivers thinking I had found heaven in a bottle.
